1. Lake Coatepeque.
Lake Coatepeque is a volcanic lake in El Congo, near Santa Ana. It was formed by cataclysmic eruptions and is located in a caldera. It has an altitude of 745m, a surface area of 25.3km² and a depth of 115m. It has the islands of Cerro and Los Manguitos. Its name in Nahuat is "Coatepeque" which means "hill of snakes".
2. El Tunco Beach
It is famous for its iconic pig-shaped stone (Pig) and has been a popular destination for surfers for generations. It is located in the national territory and is considered an emblematic beach. It has volcanic sand and is known as La Bocana del Tunco due to the drainage of the "Grande de La Libertad" river. It is ideal for surf lovers due to its high waves.
3. The Route of Flowers
The Route of Flowers is one of the most suitable tourist routes to discover the natural, cultural and gastronomic wealth of El Salvador.
